Frugal Tip: Swap your cell phone plan for a Sugar Mama
![]() |
I’ve been searching for what seems like forever, for a free cell phone plan paid for by advertising (like our friends across the pond have with Blyk). Apparently, we don’t have a service quite as innovative as that. So, until someone with enough foresight can launch a Blyk equivalent in the States,Virgin Mobile’s Sugar Mama plan is as close as we’re going to get to free service.

I know it may sound too good to be true, but this is not a joke. A little while ago, I submitted a request for a free pair of pearl earrings from Aloha Pearls. Thinking I would eventually be disappointed, I almost gave up searching through my mail. Apparently the initial offering caused a stampede which, in turn, created some delays. Despite all of this, the company was able to deliver top notch customer service. By sending periodic newsletters, they kept everyone that signed up for the free gift, in the loop. There must have been thousands of respondents that they were able to service. After mine came, I emailed John Martin at Aloha Pearls about the authenticity. He responded that same morning with: "They are 100% real pearls no fakes. A way you can test if they are real is to gently rub the pearl on your tooth. It will have a gritty feel. Fake pearls don’t grit and just feel smooth." I have to say that am amazed at the quality of the pearls, and even more amazed at their customer service.
At this time Aloha Pearls is still offering free pearl earrings,
Cleaning Tip: 50 cent Stain Remover

We all hate them, and they seam to appear when we least expect it. When we do notice that our lunch ended up on the collar of our crisp white shirt, we make the futile attempt to remove the offending stain with water and soap from the employee bathroom. After reading this tip, you won’t have to scrub, scrape, or pray to get rid of a stubborn stain. There is a product that you probably already use to disinfect cuts and scrapes, that can do double duty as a tough stain buster.
Beauty Tip: 3 months worth of facial scrub for $2

I’ve been looking at different ways I can cut costs and save more money, and one category I’ve made some improvements is with my monthly beauty budget. I’ve found different ways to get the most out of the products I absolutely can’t do without, in addition to finding inexpensive substitutes that work just as well as the originals.
Frugal Tip: Never pay full price for makeup

If you don’t know already, e.l.f. cosmetics have been selling a complete make-up line for a $1 a pop for awhile. That’s right, lipstick, lip gloss, blush, foundation, nail polish, make-up brushes - you name it, most everything is a $1. If your make-up collection needs a massive overhaul, it’s relatively inexpensive to replace it.
No More Monthly Phone Bill - I Have Free Unlimited Calling!

This may come as a shock to some of you, but it’s possible to eliminate your phone bill - forever. A couple of months ago, I was searching for some new ways to save on my monthly costs, and I found a device that promised to save me hundreds of dollars a year on my phone bill, if not eliminate it all together. I was naturally skeptical at first, but after doing some homework, I decided to give it a try.
