Christmas Crafts from ReadyMade Magazine
Who ever said you need to buy Christmas ornaments to decorate your home? I was sifting through this month’s issue of ReadyMade (an expired freebie), and found two great craft projects. Using materials you probably already have, you can get started on these right away.
Custom made cookie cutters from cookie tins:

Using heavy duty scissors or tin snips, cut the rim of the cookie tin. Using a set of pliers, bend the tin into your desired shape. It’s recommended that you use work gloves while working on this project.
Joyful stockings from fabric scraps:

Using embroidery thread, invisible thread (for the borders), fabric and scraps from wool shirts, sweaters, blankets, makes this project frugal and festive in time for the holidays. Here’s a template to get you started: http://www.readymade.com/stockingtemplate.
